Sharon Osbourne Shares Heartfelt Memories After Ozzy’s Death

Sharon Osbourne has publicly expressed her grief for the first time following the death of her husband, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. In an emotional interview with Piers Morgan on his YouTube show *Uncensored*, Sharon recounted their final moments together and reflected on Ozzy’s enduring legacy.

Final Moments Together

During the hourlong conversation, Sharon vividly described the intimate exchange they shared on the night before Ozzy’s passing on July 22, 2025. She recalled that at around 04:30, Ozzy called to her, saying, “Wake up.” He then requested a kiss and a tight hug. The following morning, Ozzy followed his daily routine, heading downstairs for a brief workout, a practice he had maintained despite ongoing health struggles.

Sharon noted, “He used to get up early and say, ‘I’ve got to go down and work out.’” Tragically, after about 20 minutes of exercising, he passed away. Sharon explained that she became aware of his death when she heard commotion in the house. “I heard screaming and ran downstairs,” she recounted. “They were trying to resuscitate him, and I told them, ‘Don’t. Leave him. He’s gone.’ I knew instantly he was gone.”

A Last Concert and a Lasting Impact

Ozzy’s death occurred just two weeks after his final concert, titled *Back to the Beginning*, which took place on July 5 in Birmingham, England. This performance marked a reunion with his original bandmates from Black Sabbath and was announced as his last following years of battling severe health issues, including Parkinson’s disease and spinal complications.

Doctors had warned him that performing again could be fatal. Sharon recalled, “They told him, ‘If you do this show, that’s it. You’re not going to get through it.’ But he said, ‘I’m doing it. I want to do it.’” For Ozzy, the concert was more than a farewell; it was an opportunity to express gratitude to his fans. Sharon added, “He just wanted it so badly — to say thank you to everyone. And I think he honestly did know that he was done. It was his time.”

Sharon also mentioned that throughout his life, Ozzy kept journals where he wrote down his thoughts, lyrics, and reflections. “He kept a journal every day,” she shared. “Some of them might get published. There’s so much of him in those pages.”

Ozzy Osbourne, recognized worldwide as the “Prince of Darkness,” gained fame in the 1970s as the frontman of Black Sabbath, shaping the heavy metal genre that influenced countless artists. He later achieved solo success with hits such as *Crazy Train* and *No More Tears*. His passing at the age of 76 signifies the end of a musical era, yet Sharon emphasized that his impact continues. “He was larger than life,” she remarked softly. “And now, he’s everywhere. In his music, in our memories — he’s still with us.”
