Netflix has launched a new interactive venue, the Netflix House, at Galleria Dallas, which officially opens to the public on December 11, 2023. This innovative space spans over 100,000 square feet and offers fans an immersive experience with popular Netflix shows and movies. Among the featured titles are Stranger Things, Squid Game, Wednesday, One Piece, and the A Knives Out Mystery franchise.
Dallas is now the second city in the United States to host a Netflix House, following Philadelphia. The venue held a VIP opening event on December 9, allowing media, influencers, local celebrities, and Netflix executives to preview the attractions. Notable attendees included David Harbour and Cara Buono from Stranger Things and actress Alexandra Breckenridge from Virgin River.
Experiential Offerings and Attractions
The Netflix House features a variety of interactive experiences designed to engage fans. Admission is free, with the main entrance leading visitors past a grand staircase adorned with artwork from popular series. However, those looking for a deeper engagement can participate in two experiential rooms: Stranger Things: Escape the Dark and Squid Game: Survive the Trials. Each room charges $39 per person and offers immersive challenges that last approximately one hour.
In the Squid Game room, participants can play five different games, including the iconic Red Light, Green Light. The Stranger Things experience involves a search-and-rescue mission for three missing characters, transporting fans into the heart of the show’s narrative.
Culinary Delights and Exclusive Merchandise
Beyond the immersive experiences, the venue features a dining area called Netflix Bites, which serves a menu inspired by various shows. Options include Red Bite, Green Bite (chicken bites with sauces), Emily’s Italian Fling Salad, and Huntr/x Power Up Ssam, a grilled pork dish influenced by the popularity of K-Pop culture.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy Netflix RePLAY, an arcade area featuring interactive games inspired by Netflix titles. Guests can compete in games like a tug-of-war from Squid Game, a Bridgerton-themed ball maze, and a Floor Is Lava challenge.
The venue also includes a gift shop where fans can purchase merchandise such as T-shirts, mugs, keychains, posters, and replica props from many of Netflix’s iconic franchises.
With Netflix reportedly exploring a potential acquisition of Warner Bros. Pictures, the Netflix House may soon expand its offerings to include characters and themes from additional beloved properties, including those from DC Comics and classic films.
As Netflix continues to innovate in the entertainment landscape, the opening of Netflix House in Dallas signifies a bold step towards enhancing fan engagement and creating unique experiences that resonate with audiences globally.
