Iconic Turks and Caicos Villa with Reality Show Fame Heads to Auction

A luxurious villa in the Turks and Caicos is set to go under the hammer on April 17, 2024. The estate, known as Triton Luxury Villa, gained fame for hosting notable reality television series, including Bravo’s “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” and Netflix’s “Too Hot to Handle.” This unique property, spanning 18,000 square feet, will be sold to the highest bidder, marking a significant moment in the luxury real estate market.

Triton Luxury Villa, owned by French tech entrepreneur and angel investor Fabrice Grinda, originally caught the attention of reality television in 2021 when it served as the backdrop for the inaugural season of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.” Esteemed cast members such as Cynthia Bailey, Teresa Giudice, Luann de Lesseps, and Kyle Richards brought drama and glamour to the villa’s elegant white and blue interiors during their week-long stay.

In 2024, the villa’s stunning oceanfront terraces and infinity pools were showcased in the sixth season of “Too Hot to Handle.” The show features attractive singles living together for four weeks, trying to resist temptation for a chance to win $100,000. The estate’s dramatic architecture and luxurious amenities made it an ideal setting for both productions.

Grinda purchased the property in 2019 for $11.5 million. He invested an additional $30 million in renovations, transforming it from a modest 7,000-square-foot home into a sprawling compound with 15 bedrooms. The main house includes eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, complemented by four guest bungalows. The estate also boasts four lighted sports courts and a solar panel array currently in development.

Initially, Grinda attempted to sell the villa for $30 million in 2022. The current listing, held by Ian Hurdle of the Agency, is set at $50 million. However, Grinda has opted for a no-reserve auction to expedite the sale and explore new ventures.

According to Hurdle, the property’s appeal to high-profile guests was largely organic. “Our understanding is that the seller never made any specific overtures to the film and celebrity industry,” he stated in an email. “Instead, those people found their way to Triton more organically when searching for ultra-luxe venues in the Caribbean.”

As the auction date approaches, interest in Triton Luxury Villa is expected to increase. With its rich history in the world of reality television and its luxurious features, the estate stands as a testament to the allure of Caribbean living and the potential for investment in high-end real estate.
