Full-Time Light Equipment Operator Position Available
The full-time light equipment operator role is a key position within the department, responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in city parks and ball fields. This position reports directly to the park director and assistant park director. Key responsibilities encompass mowing park property, setting up and lining ball fields, transporting equipment and materials, and performing safety inspections.
Additionally, the light equipment operator will handle general maintenance tasks, such as trash collection, restroom cleaning, spraying, carpentry, and basic plumbing and electrical work as required. Applicants should possess skills in operating assigned equipment and both hand and power tools. Strong oral and written communication abilities are also essential, along with a willingness to attend necessary meetings and pass a drug screening.
The entry-level pay for the full-time light equipment operator is set at $14.78 per hour, with work hours varying and some overtime or call-ins expected.
