Chris Cuomo Launches New Morning Talk Show on SiriusXM

Chris Cuomo has officially rejoined SiriusXM to host a new weekday morning talk show titled Cuomo Mornings. The show will broadcast live from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the POTUS channel, marking Cuomo’s return to the platform after a previous stint that ended in 2021 when he was let go by CNN.

In a statement released on October 3, 2023, Cuomo expressed his enthusiasm for returning, stating, “I’m very excited to be back on the platform and to engage with callers every day. Let’s get after it.” This new program aims to foster meaningful discussions that transcend party lines, focusing on political, cultural, and social issues that affect Americans.

SiriusXM has indicated that the show will feature a variety of guests, including notable figures such as James Carville, Bob Costas, Mark Cuban, former Senator Joe Manchin, Governor Wes Moore, and Senator Rand Paul. The lineup reflects the show’s commitment to providing diverse perspectives on pressing topics.

Cuomo’s departure from CNN was prompted by an internal investigation concerning his involvement in supporting his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, during a scandal involving sexual harassment allegations. At the time, Cuomo acknowledged being a “sounding board” for his brother and assisting in addressing some of the claims against him.

Since leaving CNN, Cuomo has taken on a new role at NewsNation, anchoring his show CUOMO after joining the network in 2022. His career has included significant positions at ABC News as a chief law and justice correspondent and as a political analyst for Fox News Channel. He began his professional journey as an attorney, graduating from Fordham School of Law.

The launch of Cuomo Mornings signifies a new chapter in Cuomo’s broadcasting career, as he aims to engage with audiences on a range of important issues while rebuilding his public profile. The program promises to deliver candid conversations that reflect the complexities of contemporary American life, inviting listeners to participate actively in the dialogue.
