NetEase has announced that its free-to-play mobile tactical RPG based on Marvel characters will end service on April 1, 2026. Launched in June 2025, the game garnered initial interest but ultimately failed to sustain a substantial player base. The shutdown will be executed in phases, with some updates and character releases continuing until the end of service.
As part of the final content rollout, players can expect the introduction of six new characters along with one last story chapter. These updates will be available from December 25, 2025, through March 19, 2026. In a bid to enhance player experience during this period, NetEase will unlock the Battle Pass, allowing users to access premium content without additional charges.
Despite the planned updates, some features will begin to be disabled starting December 25, 2025. Players will receive free in-game currency to facilitate engagement with the new content being released before the game’s closure.
NetEase has yet to confirm a full server shutdown, but the developer indicated that players would be given a 60-day warning prior to any such decision. A final determination regarding the server’s status is expected in early 2026.
While the game initially aimed to provide a fresh avenue for fans to connect with Marvel’s universe on mobile devices, it struggled to replicate the success of previous collaborations between NetEase and Marvel Games. As it approaches its end, the mobile RPG will have been active for less than a year, leaving many players surprised by the swift conclusion.
With the final updates on the horizon, fans will have an opportunity to engage with the remaining content and characters before the game officially ceases operations. As of now, there are no plans for the game to be fully delisted, but future announcements regarding its status and potential content may provide clarity in the coming months.
